Siam Thai Cuisine (The Royal Banquet)

*This is a sponsored food blog review. :-)

When it comes to matters of the appetite, the people of Thailand certainly know how to cook and eat their good food. Thai cuisine features a variety of dishes with wonderful ingredients that will surely embrace one's palate.

Here in Cebu City, I consider Siam Thai Cuisine restaurant (located in The Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu) as one of the best the city has to offer! Aside from Siam Thai Cuisine, he also owns Royal Krua Thai and Blue Elephant (Asian Fusion).

Why do I consider it to be one of the best? The owner himself, Mr. Anthony Ballreich, enlightened us with our queries.

He personally told us that he does not compromise the number of tables and chairs with the number of customers coming in and the number of restaurant staff available to serve. He does not want customers to walk out. He emphasized that quality and speedy service is of utmost importance. I agree! I salute you for that Mr. Ballreich!!!

From right to left: Mr. Anthony Ballreich and his trusty Thai Chef

Siam Thai Cuisine offers authentic Thai cuisine. They use ingredients imported from Thailand. What's the best part of this? The chef that cooks their sumptuous dishes also comes from Thailand, and he has been staying in Cebu for 12 years already! He is a Thai Master Chef!!! We are assured of the authenticity of their dishes because of this. Aside from that, Mr. Anthony Ballreich attends food conventions in Thailand every year to keep him updated with the trends in managing and keeping a restaurant. They also use royal porcelain plates!

As I was checking out the ingredients (as seen above), I was amazed by the wonderful aroma they give. It's no wonder Thai dishes taste very good! The key is good ingredients!

Here comes the best part of any food blog. The passionate and dynamic Mr. Anthony Ballreich offered us food bloggers a Royal Banquet! He showed us the newest dishes offered by Siam Thai Cuisine, as well as best-sellers that form the regular menu. I felt like I was of royal lineage because of it! The service was amazing! The waiting time was perfect! They will serve you the food at the right temperature for you to fully enjoy it!

Without further ado, here comes my favorite part as well as your favorite part! It's eating time!!!

Calamansi Soda

Calamansi Soda
Calamansi Soda is like drinking lemonade with a twist! It is a very refreshing drink. The sweet tropical flavor will surely tickle your tongue!

Siam Tropical Slush

Siam Tropical Slush is their version of the favorite four seasons drink. It contains the right amount of sweetness and fruitiness that you will surely love! It is a very satisfying drink!

Green Mango Margarita

Green Mango Margarita
Green Mango Margarita can only be found in Shangri-La and Siam but the best part is...... You don't have to go to Shangri-La to taste this wonderful margarita with a kick! It is also very affordable!

Spicy Glazed Chicken Wings

Spicy Glazed Chicken Wings is a wonderful appetizer. The sesame seeds add texture to the soft chicken meat and is oh so delectably good!

Thai Fish Cake
This is another wonderful appetizer from Siam Thai Cuisine. Thai Fish Cake is amazingly crunchy on the outside but very soft on the inside!

Spicy Beef Salad
Spicy Beef Salad is not your ordinary beef salad. It may pose as an innocent dish but wait until it gets into your mouth! The spiciness will surely captivate you in ways you may imagine! You need not worry though. The spiciness level is tolerable. According to Mr. Anthony Ballreich, the spiciness level of all their dishes is based on Filipino tolerance and not with Thai tolerance. Thank you so much for that Mr. Ballreich!

Crispy Yellow Noodles with Mango Salad

Crispy Yellow Noodles with Mango Salad
I never thought that crispy and soft can be combined in a salad, but Siam Thai Cuisine did a wonderful job of thinking about this idea, with a twist. I am familiar with salads that use nuts to add a certain crunch to their texture but it was my first time to experience receiving crunchiness from noodles! It was amazing how the saltiness and crunchiness of the noodles matched perfectly with the slightly sweet and sour green mangoes. Crispy Yellow Noodles with Mango Salad  really embodies the word APPETIZER!!!

Tom Yum
Tom Yum is always a favorite of mine! It is so rich! It is a mix of sweet, sour, and spicy. This soup is perfect to keep you warm on rainy days! This is also perfect to make you sweat on a hot summer day! I simply love Tom Yum!

Pineapple Fried Rice
Are you wondering if Spongebob is now homeless? Don't worry! Spongebob's pineapple house was not harmed in the making of this dish. I love their  Pineapple Fried Rice because they added nuts to it, which makes the texture interesting.

Thai Green Curry Fried Rice
Thai Green Curry Fried Rice is not your typical fried rice. Instead of the usual sinangag flavor frequently used by Filipinos on their fried rice, Siam Thai Cuisine used green curry. It is a refreshing new twist to our favorite fried rice!

Seafood Vegetable Medley
Seafood Vegetable Medley is a wonderful combination of veggies, fish, scallop, and squid placed in a noodle bowl. This is perfect for seafood lovers!

Sweet and Sour Fish
Sweet and Sour Fish is also one of my favorites. The soft fish mixed with sweet and sour sauce is a great alternative for those who don't want to eat meat.

Siam String Beans in Red Curry
I love how the taste of string beans and red curry complimented each other. I never thought that curry can be mixed with our typical dishes. Siam String Beans in Red Curry is definitely a must try!

Spicy Bangkok Express
This is the Thai version of a local favorite, Bicol Express. When I tasted it, I was amazed because it was not spicy for me at all! I don't know what happened with my taste buds. It may not be spicy for me but it might be spicy for you. You just have to try Spicy Bangkok Express for yourself!

Premium Ribs in Honey with Herbs
These ribs will probably make your heart skip a beat! The meat is honey-kissed and almost fall off the bone!!!  Premium Ribs in Honey with Herbs is definitely a meat lover's sanctuary!

Thai Chili Crab

Thai Chili Crab

Thai Curry Crab
Ever since I was a kid, I always loved eating these crustaceans!  If these are served during a fiesta, you might probably have trouble finding me. Just in case you forgot to check the kitchen, I would suggest you check me out there. Chances are, you're going to see me eating these crabs for 3 hours straight (if the supply in the kitchen is abundant).  Thai Chili Crab and Thai Curry Crab are scrumptious enough to keep me in the kitchen the whole day! Don't hesitate to get messed up. You're not going to regret it!

Don't drink this!!!
This is not juice. This is used to wash your hands after eating those crabs.

Seafood Curry
This dish is one of the bestsellers of Siam Thai Cuisine. This is also the restaurant owner's favorite. I have also enjoyed this dish a lot of times. What can I say? Seafood Curry  is very very delicious!
