We're about to greet "Happy Candle-Cakes Day" to Cebu Bloggers Society who is turning 5 in a few days!
An “Appreciation Night” will be held on February 15, 2013 (Friday) as organized by the members. The event will be held at Harold’s Hotel in Gorordo Avenue, Cebu City.
“ACTNow” is CBSi's theme for this year. The “Appreciation Night” was organized by the members in order to recognize the members and partners who have made significant contributions to Cebu's premier blogging organization.
2008 was a memorable year because Cebu Bloggers Society was founded at that time. It is registered under the Securities and Exchange Commission last 2010 as a non-profit organization. From then on, various events were successfully organized. Here are some the events:
- US Election Watch in 2008
- Computer literacy program in Pinamungahan, Cebu in 2010;
- Visayas Blogging Summit in November 2011;
- 1st Social Media Day in June 2012
- 1st World Blogathon in December 2012
Currently with 53 registered members and continually growing, CBSi is presided by Mr. Ruben Licera Jr. as President, Miss Nancy Cudis as Internal Vice President, and Mr. Bjorn Bernales as External Vice President. With zeal and cooperation, they help to promote Cebu through the use of blogging and social media.
