Last September 28, 2012, The Port had its grand opening. "Grand" is the perfect word to describe it because there was roasted calf, lechon, and unlimited drinks for the whole day!

The whole place was packed! The food was great! The new ambiance was pure as we were surrounded by immaculate white with blue accents.

The Dance Sport Team of Cebu giving us an awesome oldies dance! This photo is from my good friend Jaysee Pingkian of www.jayseeblabs.blogspot.com |
While we were eating our dinner, we were entertained by Miss Evangeline Hayco, the very beautiful, young, passionate and dynamic Operations Manager of Port Restaurant. She told us her amazing story, from the time she went abroad to pursue her studies up to the morning of the grand opening day, when all things had to be hastened to make way for the grand opening later in the evening. It was great to hear her story. It was more great to see that at her very young age of 22, she has already accomplished a lot. In fact, I am already 27 years old but she has accomplished so much more than me!

“The new Port will have a fresh new look at the same great price,” as shared by Miss Evangeline Hayco |
Since I don't get to eat roasted calf every day, I tried it. Oh boy! It was so surprisingly tender and juicy! The lechon was also great! I didn't have to worry about choking because there was free flowing of drinks!
As mentioned to us by Miss Evangeline Hayco, they have an addition to their services, the Port of Call. This is a section in their restaurant that celebrates a specific cuisine from a certain country in a certain month. From September 28 up to October 2012, the Port of Call will feature different kinds of German food such with the likes of Beef Goulash, Roasted Beef, Pork Schnitzel, Hungarian Sausage, Pretzel, German Potato Salad and Sauerkraut. She is also planning to have a Halloween theme by Halloween.

The Port Restaurant also offered unlimited beer during the grand opening from 10 PM onwards.
In celebration for Oktoberfest, Port Restaurant will now offer Port Beer Buffet which is only P199+ that is already a drink-all-you-can beer of six beer products (San Miguel Pale Pilsen, San Miguel Super Dry, Cerveza Negra, San Mig Strong Ice, Red Horse Beer and San Mig Light). A live band will also entertain you while you are enjoying your beer buffet!
