Olango My Getaway: The Discoral or Baile Escapade

When everybody was told that we'd be going to a baile, everybody got excited. We all thought it was the old-fashioned baile that still lingered in Olango Island. It turned out to be the disco we know in the city. It's just the old word "baile" that got stuck until today. Even so, it did not make the escapade less enjoyable. In fact, we had the time of our lives!

When we arrived on our first baile or discoral in Talima, we came in as reserved as their residents but eventually, awesome dance moves came out from the shell of everyone but me. I am not fond of dancing in bailes or discorals but I enjoy watching people dance.

With the help of the spirit of liquor, inhibitions were thrown out of the scene as everybody went dancing in our big circle. The star dancers of the night were definitely Daddy Ruben Licera Jr., Sir Bjornson Bernales, Miss Quenie May BaƱez, and Ka Bino Guerrero. Nobody could beat them. The people of Olango Island was in awe of their dance moves.

The beats enticed us to go crazy and run in circles. Just kidding! We actually made a lot of jump shots! It was very fun!

If one baile or discoral  is not enough, maybe going to a second one will satisfy you! After Talima, we went to Baring to continue the fun! A dance train was even made as a dramatic way of saying "We made your discoral awesome but unfortunately, we have to go home."

Olango Island will never be the same again!
